MEET OUR DOCTORS
Dr. Amanda Luck was born and raised in Upstate New York. Spending many years in her orthodontist’s office as a child, she quickly realized that she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry as an adult. Dr. Luck received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Boston College. After a quick one-year hiatus from school to live the life of a ski bum in Colorado, she migrated back to Boston and attended Tufts University, receiving her Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree.
After returning to her hometown to work under her childhood dentist in private practice for four years, Dr. Luck moved to Germany and took a position on a US Army base to care for overseas soldiers and their families.
Dr. Luck decided to go back into private practice once arriving in Washington State. She eventually acquired Vetter Dental Group after working as an associate under Dr. Vetter for 6 years.
Dr. Luck is fully committed to staying on top of new developments in the dental field. In 2021 she attended a 6-month Dental Sleep Medicine program at Tufts University, an accredited program through the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. After passing the certification exam, Dr. Luck became a Diplomate through the American Board of Dental Sleep signifying a professional commitment to education, knowledge, and experience in providing oral appliance therapy for sleep-related breathing disorders.
Dr. Luck is an active member of the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association, Thurston County Dental Association, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
You can find Dr. Luck enjoying the outdoors with her husband, Charles, and her two young boys camping, biking, snowboarding, and traveling throughout the PNW.
Dr. Shin grew up in Silverdale, WA and graduated from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. What drew her to dentistry was her heart for the underserved. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys volunteering at the Olympia Union Gospel Mission Dental Clinic and serving in the children’s ministry at her church. She and her husband love to travel, run, try new recipes, and explore the outdoors. Please share any must see places at your next visit!
Fun fact: Dr. Shin did a summer sunrise summit and also a winter summit of Mount St Helens in the same year!
